The 47th Rallye Jean de la Fontaine was held on the
20th, 21st and 22nd May 2022. Based around Soissons in the department of
Aisne, the river Aisne passes through the city and the park for the
Technical Verifications lies alongside the river in a spacious area
ideal to host the start and finish of the rally. The overnight parc
ferme is also located here. The pictures show the cars entered in the
rally and the illustrate the atmosphere preceding the popular rally
which attracts French, British and Dutch crews to compete in this fast

The first special of the 47th Rallye Jean de la
Fontaine was Conde. At 7.7km a familiar selection of tracks to regulars
at the Rallye. We took our camera to the road crossing by the cross,

The third special of the Jean de la Fontaine,
Celles, was 8.9km of mostly technical tracks through the wooded
hillsides to the North of Celles-sur-Aine. Our camera views the cars as

For the second pass at Chassemy we took up position
just 1.4km into the 15km special where a large number of spectators had
gathered to see the action. First on the track were Robert and Catherine

The first special Sunday morning was Chery. We took up position just 700
metres before the finish at a natural chicane near the hamlet of Dôle.
First on track and leading the SSV's were Hervé Crevecoeur and David

We viewed the action at ES9 Mareuil, 2.1km into the
8.5km special. The sharp left just before the tarmac road caught out a

The final special of the 47th Jean de la Fontaine was the 19 kilometer
Chery combined with Mareuil. We viewed the track from the marshalling
point at kilometer 7.6 were the dry conditions resulted in heavy dust
clouds as the drivers braked hard into the right hand corner. La dernière spéciale de la 47e Jean de la Fontaine était le 19 kilomètres Chery combiné avec Mareuil. Nous avons vu la piste depuis le point de rassemblement au kilomètre 7,6 où les conditions sèches ont entraîné d'épais nuages de poussière alors que les pilotes freinaient fort dans le coin droit.
