It is with sadness we have to acknowledge the passing of Richard
Gross. He was a familiar member of the All Wheel Drive Club in past
times where he made a large contribution to the AWDC Southern Hill
Rallies at Brighton and on Salisbury Plain in 1995, 1996 & 1997
where he created the excellent rally roadbooks. For several years
from 2000 he competed in the Jean de la Fontaine and Plaines and
Vallees Rallees in his distinct cut down Landrover. An accomplished
engineer this was
one of his many Landrover projects he completed in his
spare time. In more recent times Richard could be seen with his
camera recording the images at several of the French TT Rallies
including the Rallye des Cimes, Jean de la Fontaine and Dunes and
Marais. His photo albums of those French TT rallies can viewed on
his Facebook page at

Richard was diagnosed with MND (Motor Neurone Disease) and FTD (Frontotemporal
Dementia) in October 2024. Richard leaves wife Angela and
stepdaughters Amy and Charlotte, a family group that enjoyed many
holiday adventures together. He will be sorely missed by all his
friends and acquaintances. RIP Richard
